POSITION PURPOSE - The SEM Search Analyst provides reporting and insights to enable The HomeDepot.com online teams identify optimization opportunities and make data-driven decisions to drive traffic and conversion. The SEM Search Analyst will monitor online activity, collect data, produce reporting, provide analysis and actionable insights. Discovers underperforming areas; identifies opportunities to improve overall program performance. Researches and analyzes business trends and customer behavior data to identify opportunities for enhancements and new search marketing initiatives. Analyzes and understands the key drivers of performance related to Homedepot.com's online objectives. Analyzes and provides insight on the HomeDepot.com website(s) traffic and conversion. The SEM Search Analyst provides weekly dashboards and ad hoc reporting for the Search Team, Marketing, Online Operations, and Management.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- 25% Monitors Site Activity and Search Program Performance and measures against historical data and KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).
- 25% Works with Search Account Managers to create reporting, provide analytical insights and produce team deliverables.
- 25% Researches and analyzes trend/performance data to identify opportunities for program improvements and enhancements
- 25% Executes daily operations and optimizations for multiple Search Team initiatives.

- The position reports to a Search Account Manager
- No Direct Reports

ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionableMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Must pass the Drug Test
- Must pass the Background Check
- Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable

EDUCATION REQUIRED
- The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -
- Proven SEM Experience and understanding
- In depth knowledge of current and developing SEM trends
- Experience using business related tools including: Omniture/Adobe SiteCatalyst, Search Center, Google/Bing Webmaster tools, Google Adwords, Advanced Web Ranking suite and keyword research tools
- Strong analytics, data analysis and data manipulation skills is a plus
- Multi-channel marketing and/or ecommerce

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES -
- Intermediate/Advanced capabilities with Microsoft Excel required
- Web Development, Scripting, SQL, a plus
- A core understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail; self-starter
