Job Summary

The Roustabout Pusher acts as a Lead member of an assigned crew responsible for performing a wide range of facility operations and maintenance tasks on oil and natural gas production sites. This position is diverse and job duties may vary on a daily basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.

Practices awareness concerning issues of health, safety and the environment; cooperates with emergency teams to anticipate and deal with any hazardous and/or unusual situations (gas environment, high-pressure wells, oil spills and line leaks, inclement weather, acts of vandalism, etc.).

Under limited supervision, performs oil field related services and task in accordance with Waste Management Safety OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements.

Assigns duties to others and gives direction in order to accomplish tasks.

Completes appropriate job related paperwork in a timely manner

Proficient in building, repairing, and/or fabricating facilities including but not limited to tank batteries, water disposal sites, treaters, incinerators, flares and flow line design.

Proficient in diagnosing and repairing oilfield piping construction and installation practices.

Performs general groundwork and performs cleanup of oil spills around well sites.

Assists with major repairs to equipment.

Trains assigned crewmembers on job related activities and practices.

May join with technical groups and field personnel on teams to promote production efficiency and safety

Plan in the areas of equipment and staffing needs.

Collaborates with crewmembers and managers to solve work-related problems and develop appropriate solutions.

Conducts other duties and tasks as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job supervises a crew made up of 1 -4 employees.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required: One year of related oilfield construction or maintenance experience (Roustabout) and demonstrated proficiency in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Required: Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred: High School/GED and two years of previous experience in oilfield maintenance with one-year in a supervisory capacity.

Preferred: Vocational training in general maintenance, mechanical or related field.

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Required: Valid Driver’s License

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Required to work from ladders or raised platforms.
