Job Summary

The Oilfield Construction Foreman is responsible for performing a wide range of facility construction and/or maintenance tasks on oil and natural gas production sites. Under minimal supervision, acts as a lead member of an assigned crew. This position is diverse and job duties may vary on a daily basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by location.

Ensures practical awareness of crews concerning issues of health, safety and the environment; cooperates with emergency teams to anticipate and deal with any hazardous and/or unusual situations (gas environment, high-pressure wells, oil spills and line leaks, inclement weather, acts of vandalism, etc.).

Performs and directs all duties in accordance with Waste Management Safety and Life Critical Rules and OSHA (Occupational and Safety Health Act) requirements.

Performs general groundwork around well sties.

Proficiency in building, repairing, and/or fabricating facilities including but not limited to tank batteries, water disposal sites, treaters, incinerator, flares, and flow line design.

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing oilfield piping constructions and installation practices.

Cleans up oil spills and general cleanup.

Plans in the areas of equipment and manpower needs.

Assigns duties to others and give directions.

Proficiency in completing job related paperwork in a timely manner.

Collaborates with workers and managers to solve work-related problems.

Performs the same work duties as those supervised or perform more difficult or skilled task or assist in their performance.

Assist with major repairs to equipment.

May join with technical groups and field personnel on teams to promote production efficiency and safety.

Conducts other duties and tasks as assigned.

Able to train other employees

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

A. Education and Experience

Required: Two years related experience; with at least one year performing oilfield construction or maintenance work (Roustabout)

Required: Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred: High School or G.E.D and three years of previous experience in oilfield construction or maintenance

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

Valid Driver’s License

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

Ability to understand construction drawings and specifications

Required to work from ladders or raised platforms

Excellent organizational skills
