We are currently recruiting for a Fleet Coordinator for a client of ours in Princeton, Indiana. Our client is a premier third-party logistics provider dedicated to delivering best-of-class supply chain solutions for their customers. Some of the responsibilities of this position include, but aren't limited to: - Acts as the first line of response to Driving Team Members - Ensuring the ongoing safe operation and utilization of all Fleet equipment - Schedule and assign carriers and equipment to ensure timely, complete and accurate performance against customer requirements - Administers and supports emergency maintenance to ensure maximum equipment availability - Procures and monitors Driving Team Members' equipment use and requirements - Acts as the point of contact for Fleet activities, documenting and reporting on equipment status - Recommends and supports implementation of continuous improvement initiatives - Identifies and escalates process exceptions required to meet customer requirements - Ensures cross-shift communication - Ensures understanding of and adherence to corporate policies and practices and established work rules - Develops, secures approval and implements corrective action measures to address process and/or team member performance gaps in relation to safety and compliance policies and practices This is a hands-on position requiring strong leadership and computer knowledge. A background in a trucking or logistics environment is a plus. We are looking for someone with experience with defined and documented processes - our client is a process driven organization and is continually looking for opportunities to improve. This position would primarily work 2nd and/or 3rd shift hours with the potential to have on-call and/or weekend hours.
