Purpose and Scope:
Responsible for development of all products from handoff through delivery.
Manage calendar dates, costing, samples, order placement, fit status.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor development charts to ensure timely
delivery of proto, sales, and advertising, fit & TOP samples.- Attend seasonal fabric/ yarn handoffs, order
and track fabric/ yarns for proto & sales samples.- Identify any issues after handoff meetings,
such as long lead times, minimum issues that mills might not be able to
achieve.- Attend tech pack handoffs and suggest
allocations.- Prepare & maintain seasonal cost logs.- Ability to analyze and negotiate costing.- Works closely with NY trim department to
ensure all trim costs the HK office quotes are accurate.- Management of seasonal calendar to meet
product design & development key milestone dates.- Monitor lab dip approvals to ensure approval
deadlines are met.- Attend fittings and monitor fit approval
process to ensure approval deadlines are met for sales samples & bulk
production. Understand and analyze implications of fit changes.- Prepare for and attend NY proto sample
reviews, and weekly touch base meetings with design/ merchandising.- Submit meeting recaps to our HK counterparts.- Conduct weekly touch base meetings with
design and merchandising.- Communicate daily with overseas office,
production, design & merchandising teams.- Assist Director with all aspects for the
product development process, as needed.
Qualifications:- College degree preferred.- 4-6 years experience in Product Development/
Production related area and in a garment manufacturing & sourcing environment.- Knowledge of Production, knit and sweater
experience.- Knowledge of Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook,
GFE+, PLM.- Excellent math and calculations skills.- Excellent organizations skills and attention
to detail.- Strong communication and follow up skills.- Ability to negotiate.- Strong analytical skills.
