Position Description:

As an IT Operating Systems Consultant, you
would work with a variety of individuals that may include business
users, internal and external customers, application developers, QA,
project leaders and others with a primary focus on large-scale systems,
applications, databases and reports leveraging multiple tools,
processes, and technologies.

Positions
in this function review, analyzes, and modify programming systems
including encoding, testing, debugging and installing for a large-scale
computer system. Evaluates system specifications, input/output
processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
This function provides expertise in software systems programming,
operating software applications, consults on complex projects/existing
applications, and overall operating systems.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance and support of current internal reporting/forecasting tools
  • Gathering business requirements
  • Design, develop, and test applications used internally by peers and externally to IT leaders
  • Provide technical support for non-programming staff
  • Plan and manage assignments of varying scope
  • Establish new and drive current business processes
  • Collaborate with team members to implement strategies to streamline current system processes 
  • Maintain and support of the following: Oracle SOA Suite 10g/11g, Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus (OSB) and IBM MQ environments. 
    Perform
    operational tasks and activities (e.g. Monitoring log files,
    performance tuning, application monitoring and migration between
    environments.)
  • Provide technical support for a complex,
    high availability Architecture (e.g. Experience with clustering, Load
    Balancing, and connection pooling.)
  • Reviews the work of others.
  • Develops innovative approaches.
  • Sought out as expert.
  • Serves as a leader/ mentor.
Typical Duties:
  • Promoting Catalyst360 software applications provided by development into test and production environments. This includes baseline application executables, configuration settings and environmental variables.
  • Creating automation of installations where appropriate, debugging and resolution of environmental and installation issues, evaluating and implementing changes to enhance systems performance and availability.
  • Submitting change requests for development enhancements to increase system performance and availability, evaluating and reacting to production software and hardware alerts.
  • Providing 24/7 production support for Catalyst360 application software, producing performance reporting on availability, trending, performance status.

Requirements

Required
Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's
    Degree
  • 3+
    years Oracle SOA Suite 10.x/11.x administration experience
  • 2+
    years Oracle SOA suite applications, creation of Data sources, JMS
    destinations, securing web services
  • 2+ years Weblogic administration experience
  • Experience
    with Install, upgrade, deploy, migrate, patching and configuration


Preferred
Qualifications:



  • Upgrade
    of Oracle SOA suite from 10.1.3.5 to 11g.
  • Experience with installation/support of OBIEE 11.x
  • Linux administration experience
  • Experience
    with Weblogic upgrades.
  • Experience
    with Oracle Service Bus (OSB).
  • Experience
    with Clustering (BPEL & OSB).
  • Experience
    in backup and recovery, performance tuning of Oracle SOA Suite 10g/11g
    Server.
  • Experience
    in setting of High Availability and clustering for Oracle Apps 10g/11g
