The Electronics Technician Maintenance II applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers & vendor manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of systems and components, judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under remote supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.

Must have bulk/service station fuels experience. Installation and issue correction for fuel inventory control systems such as Veeder-Root, Ronan, and MTS.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED. Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program.

Four (4) years of practical experience, to include electronics repair, maintenance and checkout. One (1) year practical experience in electronics installation.

Three (3) years experience performing removal, integration, fielding, maintenance, testing, and calibration of Automated Fuel Handling Equipment (AFHE), Airfield Refueling Electrical Supervisions and Control Systems (ARES), or Automated Tank Gauging (ATG) automation instrumentation and sensors. Specifically, must have demonstrated expertise in at least two of the following “Series ATG Systems”: Veeder Root TLS (TLS), Ronan (X76CTM), ENRAF 854 Servo, ENRAF 818 STIC, Hectronic Optilevel HLS 3010HF, L&J Technologies 8100, Barton 3500, GSI-MTG, MTS Level Plus M, Pneumercator TMS3000. Expertise in corrective maintenance on the following communications devices of the ATG systems: Remote Interface Units; Programmable Logic Computers (PLC) such as the Modicon U120, Allen Bradley, and GE Fanuc; Phone switches; Radio Modems; External Modems; Radio equipment.

Ability to obtain and hold a Common Access Card for DoD requiring a background records check.
