Job Description:
This position is SEASONAL for the summer months and in our Liverpool, NY warehouse just outside of Syracuse, NY. Perfect opportunity for a college student or winter worker.
About Us
While serving the more than 4,600 Rite Aid stores throughout the United States, our Distribution and Logistics Department is responsible for providing support and maintaining a data warehouse to manage our distribution centers. The department's services are especially important as we continue to recruit more members to the Rite Aid family.
Major duties include:
- Selecting specific merchandise ordered by retail stores and picking orders
- Pushing & pulling totes from the tote area in the warehouse to the staging roller area
- Picking product from the flow rack and packaging totes based on order label
- Responsible for maintaining clean work area including proper disposal of cardboard & plastic
- Other duties as assigned
Experience / Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years old
- Ability to pass drug test and background check
- Must be able to lift 30lbs comfortably; occasionally up to 75lbs
- Ability to read and write in English and utilize basic math skills
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, etc. for continuous periods of time
- Work at a fast-paced, accurate and efficient speed to meet deadlines
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions/procedure manuals; can speak effectively.
Education:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus minimal warehouse experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
