Responsibilities

The National Operations department is responsible for partnering with Area and Corporate functions to set portfolio strategy, drive implementation, influence policy and advance strategic and tactical initiatives through effective reporting, analytics and modeling. Its accomplishments will be linked to driving measurable Customer experience and efficiency improvements, which are vital to ensure that VZW continues to meet the expectations of both our customers and shareholders.

  • This person is responsible for leading multiple cross-functional teams charged with implementing strategic enterprise-wide efficiency-driving programs.
  • This person is the owner of overall projects and business cases from conception, data gathering from the data warehouse and other sources, implementation, and post investments monitoring and reporting.
  • This position will also collaborate with Area and HQ cross functional leaders in prioritization of initiatives as well as the development of an overall strategic initiatives roadmap.
  • This person will also be responsible for identifying business gaps, defining process and technical solutions and developing recommendations to senior management prior to implementing plans in coordination with the business owners.
  • This position will collaborate with Area and HQ cross functional leaders on large, national initiatives with a strong emphasis on the ELEU customer segment.   Responsibilities include measuring ongoing value from RYL and Employment Validation initiatives as well as leading teams to improve operational processes to drive further value. 
  • The position is highly technical and managerially demanding and requires a balance of project management, technical skills, highly developed analytical skills, and proven managerial skills.  It requires in depth knowledge of the VZW corporate data warehouse and other data sources to facilitate research and daily reporting.
  • Assesses and manages risks and issues.
  • Identifies and mitigates conflicts across functional areas.
  • Lead a workgroup responsible for sourcing and implementing operational efficiencies across multiple functional groups on an enterprise-wide scale. Structure projects and provide on-going coaching, support and career management.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of diversified experience with emphasis in SQL, data analytics and modeling
  • 5+ years of wireless industry experience with strong competency in VZW systems, practices and sales and support channels.   
  • Experience with the following systems is strongly preferred: Essbase, Peoplesoft, Data Warehouse, POS, .COM, ECPD, ACSS, InfoManager, OneMessage, IVR, My Verizon and/or MVO.
  • Knowledge of ELEU systems and processes is a plus.
  • MBA with finance or marketing concentration is required.
  • Able to work cross functionally across HQ and Area teams, and influence management to drive results.
  • Development and delivery of executive communication via advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of VZW key business drivers, processes and systems.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently and effectively under extreme time constraints and deliver results by critical deadlines.
  • Strong leadership abilities and documented management success record required.
  • Proficient in engaging and influencing large teams and functional leaders.
  • Must be a team player, but be able to create success by working autonomously.
