The Business Analyst provides support to DataRAP IT team to conduct and support outcomes of various studies that include analyzing, reviewing, forecasting, trending, and presenting information for operational and business planning. This role will also support short and long term operational/strategic business activities - by developing, enhancing and maintaining operational information and models. 


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Performs a supportive role to DataRAP- IT team in the development and implementation of application systems. This role may interface with multiple business units such as DataRap Clinical Operations and Medical Management team

  • Participates in the definition of project roles to drive the gathering of detailed business, functional and non-functional requirements

  • Develops business context diagrams to analyze/confirm the definition of project requirements

  • Ensures adherence to enterprise standards for gathering and documenting project requirements

  • Works with applicable stakeholders to identify the operational impact of changes within defined solutions (e.g., changes to policies/processes/procedures, compliance with applicable legal/regulatory requirements, additional requirements)

  • Seeks opportunities to improve operating efficiencies/effectiveness (e.g., downstream impacts, role/responsibility realignment, enhanced business value)

  • Provides support in quality assurance testing and User Acceptance Test procedure (UAT) to include documentation for:  validation of design to business requirements, writing test plans, conducting functional and performance testing to include DataRAP application and system integration testing

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field required with 1-2 years relevant work experience.  Additional 3 years of comparable work experience in HealthCare industry may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree

  • Understand the Clinical terminologies and concepts

  • Ability to communicate ideas and problem solutions

  • Ability to effectively work with both internal and external clients/business users

  • Ensure that all stakeholders are fully informed of new/updated solutions, and identify/escalate any issues communicated by stakeholders

  • Support ongoing monitoring and adjustment of project scope/timelines/dependencies

  • Perform reviews with all stakeholders to obtain approval/sign-off of project requirements documents (e.g., walkthroughs)

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of Health Care Industry, Medicare Advantage, ICD9-ICD10, CMS Risk Adjustment and related business functions

  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees

  • Ability to generate and test program code using Microsoft technologies and toolsets in a complex technical environment
