Currently seeking an Accountant for a manufacturer in Lawrenceburg, KY!! Company wants to bring an individual in on a 6 month contract to hire!

JOB SUMMARY:

Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare financial reports by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Performs accounting and budgeting functions related to S&B division and LBK fixed assets including additions, disposals, depreciation, physical count/reconciliation, etc. Analyze repair/maintenance and CIP accounts for costs to be capitalized. Ensure costs capitalized meet the applicable capitalization and approval policies. Ensure useful lives assigned meet company policies.
  2. Performs accounting functions related to scrap payments received and month-end accrual.
  3. Review machine shop accounts and monthly record the machine shop allocation from BPCS to SAP.
  4. Monthly run the co-allocation of common mfg. expenses and record JE in SAP to allocate.
  5. Monthly provide fixed asset reports as needed .
  6. Monthly calculate the inventory reserve for FTC machine parts.
  7. Monthly record copper hedge entry for S&B division.
  8. Provide monthly utilities report to LB manufacturing personnel.
  9. Provide monthly report of machine part usage for machine shop.
  10. Prepare monthly business segment P&Ls.
  11. Prepare and distribute monthly manufacturing and SG&A cost analysis report
  12. Prepare and distribute inventory change report twice per week
  13. Determine property tax budget for S&B and LBK. Analyze property tax accrual quarterly for accuracy. Prepare utilities annual budget.
  14. Annually provide fixed asset information to applicable personnel for insurance renewal requirements by YCA.
  15. File applicable business licenses for the S&B division.
  16. Provide R&D tax credit information to YCA as requested.
  17. Prepare interim and year-end audit schedules for E&Y auditors.
  18. Perform other position related duties as assigned
  1. Comply with Compliance Program including Environmental, Quality, Health & Safety, and Confidential Information Management guidelines.

SUPERVISION AND SCOPE OF POSITION:

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and 1 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
