Job Requirements:

The Villa Prep Cook / Kitchen Staff are responsible for any food preparation related to Steam table menu items: including sauces, pasta, vegetables, and the assembly of all finished products. The Prep Cook/ Kitchen Staff assists/acts as the Steam Cook and may set-up the steam line, maintain the integrity of the products displayed to be sold by reheating and re-plating as needed, as well as the overall cleanliness of the area. This Food quality and Guest satisfaction are vital components to the success of this position.


SERVICE

  • Prepares all steam table food products in accordance to VILLA RECIPE Manual
  • Skilled in operation off all kitchen equipment in a safe and sanitary manner
  • Demonstrates full working knowledge of correct product preparation procedures
  • Maintains VFIK steam table preparation area clean and sanitary
  • Correctly rotates all new and prepared products
  • Must know where and how to store products and utensils correctly
  • Can function independently to prepare adequate product according to predetermined production schedules or requirements
  • Be well organized and efficient throughout shift


PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE/ QUALITY

  • Ensure that all quality and Health/Safety requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State, & Local standards as well as Villa’s standards
  • Assist management with food regulations by making sure food portions are followed
  • Be aware of all menu items and special promotions


TEAMWORK

  • If you are not serving the guest, be serving someone that is
  • Always look for ways to cut expenses and avoid wastes
  • Help and assist management in keeping the restaurant clean and organized
  • Work as part of a team to wash, rinse, sanitize and put away dishes that accumulate in the kitchen

  • Be on time and in full uniform for every shift
