Overview:

The Food Service Client Customer Manager primary responsibility includes maximizing sales, market share and profit for Dannon and Acosta by calling on Food Service LLO’s and distribution. The Food Service Client Customer Manager is responsible for building strong relationships with operators resulting in deep market penetration within a specific division and/or geography. The incumbent will also assist with field education on client’s brand essentials, existing and new product lines within the Acosta organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Increase sales, market share and profit by calling on Large Leverage Foodservice Operators.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert and advocate for WhiteWave products.
  • Communicating activity through timely call submission utilizing Acosta Foodservice CRM system. Identify and respond to obstacles to the use of WhiteWave products.
  • Provide field training support and expertise to Acosta markets including work-with days, sales meetings and assist with major presentations at both operators and distributors.
  • Expand customer relationships beyond normal day-to-day contacts. Obtaining maximum commitment from customers on every call.
  • Listening to operators including anticipating and responding to customers questions, objections and concerns.
  • Personally call on all decision-makers at the customer to sell business plans, programs and concepts that improve long-term business results.
  • Collaborate with Regional Client Managers and GM’s on all major initiatives (new product introductions, selling drives, regional meetings, contests, etc.).
  • Effectively use knowledge of customer, market and client—involve marketing, technology and administrative resources to accomplish objectives. Evaluation of customer needs and trends.
  • Provide information on local competitive activity, customer feedback/needs, and market place successes in order to identify similar client/customer opportunities.
  • Complete special projects as requested.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with Business Major preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of the marketplace and strong communication skills.
  • Strong sales presentation, resilience, determination and flexibility.
  • Expertise in Microsoft software: PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook and thorough knowledge of web based applications.
  • Must have excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Overnight travel with an average of 2 nights a week out of town
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • This position requires that you drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and as such, any DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months will be an immediate disqualifier for this position.
  • Foodservice sales experience required.
