PrideStaff Financial has partnered with our North Dallas client in search of a Sales & Use Tax Specialist to join their team!
This position reports to the Director of Finance and will be responsible for reviewing and reporting multi-state sales and use tax, resolving customer sales tax disputes and other tax compliance reporting.
- Maintain tax certificates in Vertex database.
- Review monthly sales and use tax reporting and payment for multiple states prepared by a third party.
- Examine tax certificates for accuracy and makes necessary corrections for customer classifications.
- Coordinate tax examinations initiated by various jurisdictions relating to all types of taxes.
- Respond to and resolve assigned information and documentation requests received from federal, state and local government agencies related to tax matters.
- Work with Accounts Receivable and Account Managers to resolve customer sales tax disputes
- Review and approve all requests for sales tax related credits or debits.
- Registers the company in new locations where required.
Requirements
- Must have minimum of 3-5 years tax accounting work experience in an administrative capacity.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
- SAP and Vertex preferred
- Must be able to organize tasks and work independently with little supervision
- Position requires strong analytical skills and strong attention to detail
- High School Diploma or GED is required
