River City Diner is seeking friendly, professional servers that work well in a team environment. We would love for you to join our team! Here is a summary of our server position:
Reports to:
Assistant Manager or Shift Manager
Summary of Position:
Thoroughly organize and prepare sections and stations in order to provide excellent, efficient service that reflects our mission to make people happy one meal at a time. Execute customer service by understanding and applying our core values.
Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Attend pre-shift meetings 15 minutes prior to shift
- Clean and stock section before shift. Check table tops, floors and seating.
- Running side work
- Role silverware during and after shift
- Acknowledge customers as they enter and leave the restaurant
- Take orders and enter them into POS
- Memorize occasional orders and requests
- Be responsible for running all hot food
- Engage customers and facilitate their enjoyable, excellent dining experience
- Execute our Proven Process outlined in our Secret Shopper Form
- Complete closing side work excellently
- Understand and uphold all core values (You can find a list of our core values at rivercitydiner.com/ourmission)
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have serving experience
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 20 pounds
- Must have the stamina to work at a fast pace
