About this job

Aerotek's client has a 145 Repair Station based on Winston-Salem which supports their "Aftermarket Services." This group specializes in MRO based support along with spare parts supply repair station operations, engineering capabilities, and AOG services. For this contract, individuals will be working in the Repair Station and will be responsible for repairs and modifications of commercial seating.

This client is going through a surge right now and will have between 55-80 sets of seats coming back from commercial airlines and these seats will require a combination of things. The core services / responsibilities will be cleaning, repair, overhaul, refurbishment, and refreshing of airline crew, flight attendance, and passenger seating. This is a FAA regulated environment so people will need to be mindful of the requirements.

The major job duties are as follows:

  • Perform all sub-assembly and component assembly operations required to completely assemble seating and seating components
  • Understand and utilize pick sheets, trim/finishing drawings, work orders, and verbal instructions to assemble all components
  • Setup and use all types of fixtures, jigs, and testing equipment
  • Make all final checks and adjustments required for proper functional operation of details, components, and completed seat assemblies
  • Move materials to and from work position
  • Keep accurate records and make reports in accordance with work performance requirements
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
