Located at the General Motors CCA (Customer Care Aftermarket) operation located in Swartz Creek, MI, the primary responsibility of this role is to m onitor and supervise the operation of the Pretreatment and E-coat line.

Additional responsibilities include:

· Sample tanks and provide both liquid samples and plated panels to the supporting laboratories on a regular schedule.

· Troubleshooting and process optimization as needed.

· Daily reporting to both PPG and Plant management are required.

· The Chemical Manager role is responsible for providing chemical management support in customer plants.

· Provide sales support to maintain and expand business at an existing account.

· Assist in the development and commercialization of new products and services.

· Oversee technical and administrative support for the Tier I contract.

· Other responsibilities will include preparing and presenting monthly meetings with customer and suppliers, reviewing monthly close out/chemical usages & invoices, checking/controlling inventories.

Qualifications



Minimum Qualifications:

· High school degree and related work experience.

· Current Automotive Coatings experience.

· 3-5 years in a technical setting or automotive assembly plant environment.

· Ability to work safely and follow all PPG and GM local safety directives.

· Experience in metal cleaning, pretreatment and electro-deposition on multiple metals.

· Working knowledge of inventory control and ordering systems.

· Good written and oral communication skills.

· Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· College degree in chemistry, general science or a related discipline.
