Buying Assistant needed for our company in Riverside. Seeking a dynamic Buying Assistant who will performs routine clerical and administrative functions such as drafting company documents, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files or any other administrative tasks associated to the Leader, to whom the assistant reports. The Buying Assistant communicates on a daily basis with internal personnel and external vendors. Advanced MS Office skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and typing. (Skills assessments will be administered to determine level)
This is a direct hire opportunity for the most qualified candidate. Salary offered is up to $39,500. This is a first shift 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday.
Key Job Responsibilities, Duties & Tasks
Responsible for various computer applications, such as database management, report generation or word processing.
Creates, maintains, and enters information into the Corporate Buying Information System Software (CBIS).
Sets up and manages paper or electronic filing systems, records information, updates paperwork, and maintains documents.
Adheres to and completes forms in accordance to company policies and procedures with high focus on accuracy, urgency and efficiency.
Manages multiple projects at once by prioritizing, setting deadlines and coordinating the flow of information internally and/or externally.
Provides training to new staff and contributes to committee or team work.
Prepares materials needed for meetings or samplings.
Maintains Leader's calendar by arranging and coordinating meetings/appointments.
Answers telephones and provides information to callers, takes messages, or transfers calls to appropriate individuals.

High School diploma or GED and Associates Degree in related field or 3 years progressive experience or a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
