About this job
Purpose: The Carry-In Line Technician Assistant associate assists the line technicians in minor repairs of various product and equipment. Job Responsibilities:
• Disassemble or reassemble product and forwards to next stage
• Perform functional testing
• Install parts
• Return product to diagnostician for re-diagnosis if needed
• Perform final cleaning of product if applicable
• Complete appropriate paperwork
• Follow the guidelines set up by the parts department to promote accountability and avoid shrinkage
• Acts as a back up for all Line Support functions in other product lines as needed
• Understand and adhere to Sears' ISO procedures, work instructions, and related forms.
• Maintain acceptable production standards (i.e. productivity, recalls, etc.) as directed by RTL.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures
• Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned
Specific Essential Functions:
• Ability to physically aid in handling of product to be repaired
• Ability to follow directions
• Able to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work variable and flexible hours including overtime as needed
• Ability to apply appropriate safety procedures and equipment to protect company and customer assets
• Ability to apply appropriate use of personal protective equipment (i.e. back belt, safety glasses)
• Ability to incorporate views of coworkers and customers with different perspectives
• Ability to follow ISO 9001 process guidelines Experience/Education/Certification Requirements:
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Mechanical aptitude helpful Required Job Competencies:
• Work well with others in a team environment to deliver high performance results
• Open to change and the ability to effectively implement change quickly
• Convey a positive image of the company in all actions and behaviors
• Must be detail oriented
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
