Sodexo Senior Living is currently seeking a highly experienced General Manager 4 to join our team at Bridgewater Retirement Community in Bridgewater, VA .

Bridgewater Retirement Community is a Continuous Care Retirement Community with 500+ residences for: Independent Living, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing. The General Manager will report directly to the District Manager and will be responsible for directing all dining operations.

The General Manager will have experience leading a large team, preferably in a health-care environment, as well as a food production background and/or food and labor management experience. The ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate excellent communication skills and proven leadership is required. The ability to develop a strong collaborative team environment, fostering strong client relationships while delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction is mandatory. At Bridgewater Retirement Community there is a strong commitment to culture change and maximizing the resident experience. Change leadership is a core competency.

The General Manager will have an active role in managing the daily events and operations related to finance; cost controls, customer service, and will provide strategic leadership and work collaboratively with several generations in the workplace to exceed resident and client expectations. This position is also responsible for the positive outcomes for all planning, organizing and the Sodexo Brand at all dining experiences in a respectful and appreciative manner.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years

Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
