Sodexo Senior Living is seeking a part time, 20 hour/week Registered Dietitian for a Continuing Care Retirement Home located in Hackettstown, NJ.
Reporting to the Food Service General Manager this Clinical Dietitian will:
Be a Registered Dietitian with experience in long term care. Provide nutritional care to the long term care residents and sub-acute rehab patients. Conduct nutrition lectures to the independent living residents. Manage the dining room service at meal times. Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards. Represent the Food & Nutrition Department as the primary liaison with the medical and nursing staff. Assist the Food Service Management team as needed. Possess strong leadership and communication skills. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with seniors to make every day a better day for our clients and residents. Have a passion for driving and improving the resident experience for the Seniors we serve. Position Summary
Provides comprehensive nutrition assessments and care planning for most complex or specialized patients/residents. Plans special diets and supervises their preparation. Instructs patients and/or hospital personnel in complex principles of nutrition and modifications of normal diet. Fulfills a leadership role and assumes the role of a Clinical Nutrition Manager in his/her absence. Acts as a regional resource in his/her area of expertise.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in health care including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted or independent living facilities, long-term care, retirement homes, or clinics + registered dietitian.
Sodexo will require a background check and may require a drug screen for this position.
