This is a paid Hyatt internship program for students seeking an understanding of the hospitality industry. This internship includes exposure to the Food and Beverage Operation, primarily in our back of the house food and beverage support positions of Convention Services Houseman and Stewarding departments. Convention Services is primarily responsible for the set up and breakdown of meeting space, and Stewarding is responsible for the care, cleaning, and control of food and beverage equipment. The Hyatt Lodge is host to over one hundred weddings each year, most of them concentrated in the summer. We experience a very high volume of business in season and an internship would have exposure to all areas of the operation.

This is a full-time summer internship that will go from May – September 2015.

Continuous authorization to work in the U.S.

2nd or 3rd year student preferred

Studying hospitality or related major

Capable of a 12-week commitment within the time period of May-September (September 7 th )

Food and Beverage experience preferred in positions such as restaurant server, busser, runner, greeter, cocktail server, and/or bartender

AM and PM flexibility required; Ability to work holidays and weekends required

Ability to lift a moderate to heavy amount of weight (20-45 pounds)

Ability to stand and walk for a scheduled shift

Previous hotel experience a plus
