The Warehouse Specialist has general responsibility for performing all Warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Inventory Supervisor, the Warehouse Specialist is part of a team responsible for assisting in the receiving, locating, storing and shipping of raw materials for use in the biologics manufacturing. In addition, the position will have special projects and documentation duties assigned.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
? Provide first rate customer service including understanding and meeting customer requirements, together with a positive and professional manner.
? Receive inbound shipments including unloading, inspecting and verifying the count and accuracy of the documentation. Follow-up as needed with suppliers for COCs and RMAs. Also segregate, process and forward materials to designated locations.
? Initiate, review and revise GMP documentation.
? Participate in MRO, spare parts, project tasks, including min/max programs
? Assist with weekly cycle count and annual physical inventory for Storeroom and assists in maintaining inventory accuracy.
? Perform inventory control including material transfers and stock status/reorder point activities.
? Pack/ship materials, complete documentation and arrange for pick-up with designated carriers.
? Conduct storeroom duties in a manner, which promote safety and comply with FDA, OSHA, DOT, and MSDS standards and company SOP?s.
? Maintain a clean, orderly, safe and secure work area at all times.
? Create, update and maintain product codes in JD Edwards.
? Work on special projects as requested.

Qualifications
? Strong customer service orientation
? Strong GMP documentation background including writing/revising SOP?s, initiating Change Controls, follow through on approvals and implementation.
? ERP experience, preferably JDE
? Basic math skills required.
? General computer knowledge including ability to use the internet, email, and skill with PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software to initiate memos, reports, graphics, and correspondence.
? Computerized purchasing and inventory tracking experience preferred.
? Excellent attention to detail required.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required. AA preferred.
Three to five years of inventory experience required in a GMP environment.

Working Environment
Must be able to work overtime as required. May be required to work or be assigned to a different shift as needed.

Physical Demand
? Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs.
? Must be physically capable of climbing, kneeling, stooping , bending and twisting.
? Must be able to operate forklift and other material handling equipment.
? In general, the position requires a combination of sedentary work and walking around the Warehouse and other parts of the facility.
