As a 
Data Interchange Business Analyst you will be responsible for day-to-day analysis, design, development and QA of new client
implementations in a highly technical healthcare arena.

Positions in this function work in the analysis phase of the system development
cycle and consult with users to evaluate business requirements, identify
operating procedures, evaluate existing or proposed systems and prepare
detailed specifications from which programs will be written. This function also
is intended to include those that also may define business processes.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Designing data interfaces in a team environment along
    with an internal Implementation Manager and client resources.

  • Analyzing outputs from commercial billing systems and
    designing appropriate Claim Acceptance and Rejection Reason extractions.

  • Analyzing EDI data and creating load processes using
    Sybase EDI Server software.

  • Developing conversion processes utilizing Pervasive
    (Data Junction), VB Script and other software to load hospital and clinic
    dictionary, demographic and transaction data into CareMedic databases.

  • Technical support during the phase of go-live with each
    of the CareMedic applications.

  • Create Implementation Design documents which details
    each file exchanged along with mapping requirements and data flow
    diagrams.

  • Project and task management and prioritization to
    ensure timely implementations.

  • The development will be done both locally and at
    individual CareMedic client sites. Ten to twenty percent travel will be
    required.

  • Automation of all data load tasks utilizing CareMedic
    i.engine application.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Required
Qualifications:





  • Bachelor's degree or HS diploma/GED with 4+ years of
    equivalent technical Business Analyst experience 

  • 2+ years of experience analyzing, debugging and
    deploying VB Apps, scripts and Active X components using Microsoft tools
    and applications.

  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server or
    other comparable SQL Query Language

  • 2+ years of experience in working directly with the
    client's representatives in the design and implementation of data
    interfaces

  • Ability to travel for periods up to 5 days length with
    sometimes a short notice. (Travel up to 25% and weekend travel is NOT typical)



Preferred
Qualifications:





  • Experience in a healthcare setting in healthcare
    billing and reimbursement

  • Project Management/Project Leader experience.

  • Pervasive (Data Junction) data mapping experience

  • Working knowledge of HIPAA compliant transaction sets
    (837, 835)
