Aerotek is currently seeking a Junior Software Engineer for a 9 month contract to hire in Lanham, MD. This opportunity will be working with a small team to work on multiple commercial off the shelf products f. They will be responsible for enhancing the existing product lines, developing new custom features per client request, impelmenting new operating systems and modifying code. In addition to core software development skills they will need to assist with customer support and investigation on products.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
-0-3 years of experience programming software applications
-Proficient in C++ highly preferred
-Proficient in Java highly preferred
-Must have some knowledge in both programming languages listed
-Familiarity working with multiple operating systems especially: Linux, Windows and Solaris
-Familiarity with additional programming/scripting languages like C, Python or Bash would be a plus
-Knowledge or experience with Oracle or other relational databases would be a plus
