About this job

This position receives, records, and distributes work orders to service crews upon customers' requests for service on articles, utilities purchased from wholesale, retail establishment or utility company. Records information, such as name, address, article to be repaired, or service to be rendered. Prepares work order and distributes to service crew, schedules service calls and dispatches service crew. Reviews all work requirements for validity and routes service orders to the appropriate approving authority. Provides current status of work to the customer. Maintains a professional, calming manner when dealing with customers, some of who may be operating in a stressful environment. Operates office and computer equipment and related service call equipment.Additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

Basic computer, ability to read and write English and the ability to reason and solve problems.
Must be physically capable of stooping, standing, sitting. Must have the ability to maintain assigned work hours.
Must have sufficient endurance to perform task over long periods of time.

Required Experience:

May be required to maintain a valid state driver's license.For positions requiring use of a Company and/or Customer vehicle, must have a safe driving record within the past 36 months, as defined by Company policy
May be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Must have a minimum of two (2) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in facility maintenance and operations or service/repair dispatch work. Must be polite, possess a positive attitude, and be customer focused. Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language
