Overview:

This position is responsible for the in-house marketing, promotion and sale of specified products, ranging from perfume/fragrance products to electronics in both Commissary and Exchange facilities. This requires learning about the detailed history of the products/companies and being prepared and ready to communicate this to the customer as part of the overall promotion. Based on a broad promotional concept, the incumbent will use his/her own creativity in setting up and designing necessary displays within specified locations. Considerable point of sale interaction with the ultimate customer is expected and required and the ability to significantly and positively impact sales volume of the assigned product as a result, is a fundamental expectation for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Schedule, conduct and manage the section, category and total store resets.
  • Cut in new items and maintain Plan O Gram.
  • Hang all promotional signage. Place, hang or erect Point of Purchase materials. Sell, build, maintain, and remove programmed displays. Sell/provide recommended forecasts (order quantities) for promotions. Conduct in-store demonstrations.
  • Ensure shelf stocking is performed by independent contractors; research and resolve causal factors that result in OOS (Out of Stocks). Coordinate and resolve distributor issues as needed. Manage distributor inventories and mark-downs
  • Train and supervise other Sales Representatives and Merchandisers; ensure correct work hours are entered into time and attendance system and approve in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with exchange management and develop good professional relationship to ensure smooth and cooperative involvement in the marketing, promotion and sale of product. Maintain minimum level of store visits as directed by Commissary and Exchange divisions. Coordinate CAO issues with store operations.
  • Process and pay vendor credit memorandums; Review, process and pay salvage claims.
  • Report on store and competitive activities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED required.
  • 3+ years experience in dealing with the public at the retail sales level in a lead position.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to comfortably interact with the public.
  • Must have professional appearance & demeanor.
  • Must be very familiar with EXCEL and WORD.
  • Must be able to present to public.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • This position requires that you drive on behalf of Acosta Sales & Marketing, and as such, any DUI/DWI conviction in the past 36 months will be an immediate disqualifier for this position
