BlackLocus Manager Competitive Analytics & Assortment Tools

POSITION PURPOSE :
This position is responsible for creating and delivering competitive intelligence and analysis. He/she will be working closely with BlackLocus leadership team to help define and set strategy then help communicate that strategy to the broader organization. In addition, he/she will be working closely with the Austin team and cross functional partners such as Assortment Planning and Pricing to deliver actionable intelligence and recommendations to the merchandising community. This will be done by both responding to ad-hoc requests, as well as, delivering standard competitive analysis during the PLR/BR process.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACCOUTNABILITIES :
60%-Working with cross functional partners and merchandising community to deliver actionable competitive intelligence to the merchandising community

20%-Working with BlackLocus leadership team to develop and refine strategy

20%-Measuring and communicating progress

NATURE AND SCOPE :
Position Reports to Sr Manager Environmental

JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Environment: Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel: Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must pass Background Check.
Must pass pre-employment test if applicable.

EDUCATION REQUIRED :
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 5

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical
- Excellent attitude
- Self starter and the ability to work independently
- Excellent reasoning skills
- MBA from top 30 program strongly preferred

- Retail
- Engineering/Business or technical undergraduate degree
