Job Type: Full Time Position Summary:

The Senior Director of Transportation will have advanced knowledge/skills in transportation & freight, and experience in logistics strategy, network design, implementation, and increasing performance. The incumbent will drive transportation distribution excellence & best practices, and will be responsible for the creation and execution of strategies to improve processes and reduce freight costs. This position will support and collaborate with all areas of Logistics, DC’s and stores, IT, ECR, Merchandising, Finance, Construction, Audit, Strategic Procurement, Vendor Compliance, and Accounts Payable. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a manner consistent with corporate policies, and state and federal laws & regulations.

1. Plan, develop, and execute all Outbound & Inbound delivery programs to meet business objectives.

2. Develop and manage the network transportation budget.

3. Proactively manage all compliance requirements & ensure compliance.

4. Drive vendor/carrier improvements related to store delivery performance.

5. Coordinate with Strategic Procurement and oversee the selection, hiring, negotiations, and management of dedicated and common carriers.

6. Collaborate with internal business leaders and Logistics staff on strategic projects. Required Qualifications:

-. 8 + years of experience with multisite transportation & logistics activities. - 8+ years minimum experience in a management role. - Background with corporate structure within a third party/private fleet transportation environment. - Ability to influence & interact with both internal business partners & external business contacts in a collaborative manner. - Experience in manageing budgets, schedules, and projects. - Strategic thinking, negotiation, and teamwork skills. - Problem solving, innovative thinking, planning, and analytical skills.
