Laboratory Technician

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a testing lab dealing with hazardous materials (environmental lab, water lab, oil/quality lab, etc.)
• Would be open to an entry level candidate with a Chemistry degree if they are ok with the pay
• Must be able to work as a team player under limited supervision

Job Description:

• Timely and accurately preparation, analysis and quantitation of test samples
• Preparing standard materials and calibrations when applicable
• Participation with lab in quality control programs
• Cleaning and maintaining glassware, test supplies and equipment as required
• Follows all company safety requirements
• Disposes of hazardous materials
• Supports laboratory team with shortages, projects, special assignments as required
• Performs other duties as deemed appropriate by management
• A LOT of moisture testing and titrations, must have good color visibility/clarity,
• Must be capable of learning multiple computer systems NO MEDICAL, NO CERT, NO PPE

Work Environment:

• Dirty environment (dealing with oils, someone with a pharma clean room background will not be a good fit)
• Dealing with a lot of syringes, alot of waste handling, cleaning, etc
• ISO lab, very strict safety hazard rules
• Hours are Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm

Performance Expectations:

• Must be self-directed and follow all SOPs
• Must pass all safety competencies
• Must complete training which all and all takes approx. one month
• They really need a hardworking, go-getter type attitude. Someone who is positive and cooperative while exceeding client expectations. Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail while completing tasks
• Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities and challenges to grow within the role
