POSITION OBJECTIVE: The General Manager is accountable for all operating systems to ensure the Restaurant is running effectively and profitably in compliance with company standards, people development and company initiatives adherence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Oversee and manage all areas of the restaurant and make final decisions on matters of importance.
* Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, other supply, utility, equipment, and labor costs.
* Ensure that all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Enforce food safety and all ServSafe guidelines as well as proper planning.
* Enforce company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
* Ensure consistent high quality of food preparation and service.
* Maintain professional restaurant image, including restaurant cleanliness, proper uniforms, appearance standards.
* Estimate food needs, place orders with distributors, and schedule the delivery of fresh food and supplies.
* Ensure positive guest service. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
* Ensure that proper security procedures are in place to protect the restaurant and company.
* Consistently provide a quality food & beverage product and guest service experience by ensuring all team members are trained, motivated and empowered to deliver total guest satisfaction.
* Model and create a culture in which the guest is always right.
* Maintain restaurant experience at the level necessary to meet or exceed the company standards.
* Retain thorough knowledge of menu, characteristics and description of every item served by VertsKebap.
* Serve as a role model and set a positive example for the entire team in all aspects of business & personnel mgmt.
* Effectively utilize all training programs from new team member orientation up to management training classes
* Utilize labor effectively to meet budgets.
* Maximize the restaurant's financial performance and profit.
* Ensure all food and beverage items, all merchandising and all discounts are accounted for and charged properly.
* Conduct inventory and order product to maintain proper par levels.
* Ensure deliveries are checked in correctly and invoices are correct.
* Identify and develop local restaurant marketing strategies to maximize sales.
* Enforce all labor laws (federal, state and local).
* Follow procedures to maintain the safety and security of all employees, guests and company assets (building, cash, equipment, supplies).
* Uphold company safety and sanitation per Brand Equity Platform requirements to ensure the health and safety of guests and employees.
* Maintain complete knowledge of and strictly abides by state and county
* May perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
* Good verbal and written English communication skills; bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
* Attention to detail in a fast paced environment.
* Passionate about creating a fun, warm, inviting, contemporary culture that provides the ultimate experience for the guests and work experience for the team members.
* Must have a positive attitude and ethics which support VertsKebap's values and culture.
* Available 55 hours per week; able to work flexible hours necessary to manage and operate the restaurant effectively. This includes weekends and closing shifts as dictated by the restaurant's needs.
* Flexible, knowing that a growing company must undergo change as the market/guest dictates.
* Ability to work extended periods of time standing and good general physical condition.
