Administrative Assistant



The Administrative Assistant performs specialized administrative work in support of the organization.

Duties:

1. Heavy calendar management including the coordination of meetings and meeting rooms.

2.

3. Format proofread letters.

4. Use computer and software applications to accurately enter data, create documents and send emails.

5. Operate a variety of standard office equipment, including computers, phones, fax machines, and copiers/scanners.

6. Greet and assist clients in person and on telephone; resolve routine and some complex inquiries.

7. Print, copy, and file documents and maintain paper and computer files.

8. Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.

9. Must be able to work overtime during peak periods.



Qualifications



Knowledge of:

1. Office processes and procedures

2. Keyboarding, 10-key, data entry and word processing skills

3. Grammar, spelling and punctuation.

4. Basic math skills

5. Relevant computer hardware and software applications



Ability to:

1. Understand and carry out oral and written instructions

2. Multitask and prioritize

3. Use appropriate and correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation

4. Maintain security and confidentiality of organization records and information

Requirements



  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Two years administrative assistant experience

  • Proficient in a variety of software applicants including Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Type a minimum of 45 WPM
