The Crowne Plaza Hotel downtown is searching for a 2nd shift Maintenance Technician to work in our busy maintenance department.  The ideal candidate has the experience and skill set required to perform the duties required in this role, has a true focus on creating a great guest experience, and is a reliable team member who supports the overall needs of the facility. 

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provide great guest service.
  • Do all work delegated to you by Chief Engineer or Lead Engineer.
  • Complete work orders and related projects to support facility.
  • Perform general maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot any maintenance problems and repair.
  • Monitor/take readings of all heating/cooling and water systems daily.
  • Repair and troubleshoot restaurant equipment if needed.
  • Work on HVAC equipment and troubleshoot if necessary.
  • Do woodworking, wall-papering & dry walling.
  • Troubleshoot and complete electrical repairs.
  • Repair laundry equipment.
  • Repair pool and spa equipment.
  • Work is scheduled on a Sunday to Saturday work week, availability must be flexible.

Requirements

  • Superior customer service.
  • Effective and professional communication.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills are a must.
  • Must have a basic understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, flooring and carpentry concepts.
  • H.S. or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years experience in building maintenance preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and plumbing a plus.
  • Excellent customer service is a must.
