About this job
The Electro Mechanical Technician repairs and maintains actuators and mechanical equipment (motors, pneumatics, hydraulics) in accordance with diagrams, Sketches, operation manuals, schematics, Wire lists and production machine equipment, using hand tools, Power tools, precision measuring and testing equipment.
Major Responsibilities:
* Observes equipment in operation and troubleshoots (by sounds and technical manuals) location of problems.
* Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hand tools, and power tools.
* Inspects parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using rules, calipers, micrometers and other measuring tools.
* Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments, using hand tools, levels and straightedges.
* Repairs or replaces defective electro/mechanical devices using hand tools, and power tools.
* Powers up equipment to verify functionality and performance to specification.
* Lubricates, cleans, adjusts and replaces parts in accordance to Preventative Maintenance procedures
* Troubleshoots and repairs electrical problems using schematics, wire lists.
* Tests equipment for circuit continuity and operational reliability using test instruments such as multi
-meters, oscilloscopes, oscillators, electronic voltmeters,
* Analyzes test results and repairs and adjusts according to analysis.
* A record test results and generates test reports as required.
* Calibrates instruments according to specifications.
Qualifications:
* 3-5 years' experience in a production environment required.
* Knowledge and prior use of hand, power tools, micrometers, calipers, meters.RPM gauges, Tension
Gauges, multi meters, amp meters.
