Arbour-Fuller Hospital is an 88-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Mass. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. There are also partial hospitalization programs (PHP) for patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders.
The Registered Nurse Utilizes the nursing process, nursing diagnoses and nursing interventions and is accountable to the patient, family and peers for delivery of optimum psychiatric care maintaining a holistic approach, in order that the organization can fulfill its primary mission of providing quality health care within the community. The registered nurse must be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and provide the care needed as described in the unit's/area's/department's policies and procedures.
FULL TIME AND PART TIME POSITIONS ARE AVAILABLE
Education: Diploma in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing. CPR certified. Massachusetts registered nurse license with current registration required.
Experience: One year related experience preferred.
Technical Skills: Ability to communicate clearly through spoken words and in writing.
