Salt Lake Behavioral Health, is a private, freestanding, 118- bed, acute psychiatric hospital specializing in mental health and chemical dependency. We provide a wide range of services and programs that offer evidence-based treatment proven to have positive outcomes for our patients. Our inpatient and day hospital, or outpatient, services offer supportive and compassionate care for children, adolescents and adults through specialty programs that are tailored to meet the needs of our patients. Salt Lake Behavioral Health currently has an Admissions RN position available. The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:

As part of the admissions assessment team, the Admissions/Triage RN provides face to face clinical assessments, including the history of presenting illness, family dynamics and supporting psychosocial information. The Admissions RN also provides in person and telephonic risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process, and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.

Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.

Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Utah State Board of Nursing.

Additional Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior (MANDT) including restraint and seclusion policies, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.
