Sr. Dialer Enginnering - Developer (Job Id# P137490)

The Dialer Engineering team is in need of an experienced technical candidate who can develop and maintain java/web-based applications that integrate with the enterprise dialer infrastructure as well as the call center applications. The Dialer Engineering team is responsible for the architecture, design, customization and implementation of the enterprise dialing solutions. This candidate will be apart of a faced paced team who provide deliverables to numerous BAU and corporate flagship projects. Be prepared to juggle several large projects concurrently while providing engineering/3rd level support. This role will serve as lead developer for the team in addition to performing engineering tasks such as dialer application build out and customization to the infrastructure. Selected candidate will provide design/solutions to projects via engagement of other BT teams and business units.Skills Required:Development of application code as necessary, using Java, J2EE, WebSphereDevelopment of back-end scripts using Perl/Python and SQLExperience with Clearcase or similar configuration/source code management toolsPerform Build and Packaging of Application using Open Make or similar build automation toolsAnalysis of business requirements and subsequent creation of high level technical design documents and technical specifications in accordance with company architecture standards.Perform unit and system testing of application code as well as execution of implementation activities.Identification, documentation and estimation of technical tasks for projects of varying sizes and levels of complexityAssist in establishing the strategic technical direction for the applications; and participate in department wide initiatives to address long term business, technical, and performance goals.Analysis and identification of technical areas of improvement within existing applications.Act as a technical project lead for Dialer Engineering projects5+ years of programming experienceTechnical knowledge of: J2EE WebSphere or other J2EE application server, HTML, WebServices, Unix (file browsing and simple commands)Techical knowledge of IBM Rational Application Developer or EclipseKnowledge of dialer and telephony is a plusKnowledge of best practices for maintaining highly available applications and services.Experience with a variety of development methodologies (Agile, Iterative, Waterfall)Self-motivated team player with strong leadership skillsEfficient verbal and written communication skillsAbility to effectively multi-task by simultaneously working on several time-sensitive initiativesExperience with SQL and MS-SQL Server
