As part of a newly forming team within our Optum Technology Delivery organization, you will be accountable for advising clients on Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Standards/Best Practices as part of complex Systems Integration programs. Our Delivery center is based out of Basking Ridge, NJ, but primary clients are in VT and Boston, MA. This role would ideally be held in Boston, MA with some travel the first year or two, but at a later date could potentially require 50-100% Travel.

Specific responsibilities will include:


 



  • Engaging with clients to understand the current state of Software Quality Assurance

  • Proposing solutions to address Software Quality Assurance Standards/Best Practices needs/opportunities and support conversion to and from client solutions

  • Creating and implementing processes, procedures, tools and templates relative to Software Quality Assurance standards/best practices which utilize Centers of Excellence and reusable patterns to support a delivery center model

  • Advising clients on best approaches to establish/enhance sustainable Software Quality Assurance capabilities and meet SLA requirements

  • Assisting in building tool sets for sustained and measurable Software Quality Assurance capabilities

  • Creating Software Quality Assurance strategies, plans and test beds to address end-to-end systems integration needs

  • Managing collaborative relationships with clients and partners

  • Ensuring successful end-to-end Software Quality Assurance capabilities

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving issues as required

  • Proven ability to keep calm under high pressure situations involving time sensitive mission-critical software releases

Requirements

Required Skills:



  • 2 or more years of demonstrated Software Quality Assurance Automation expertise as part of large and complex systems integration programs

  • High degree of professional confidence and credibility with the presence and communication skills to represent IT-related concepts effectively with executive-level management.

  • Successful track record of long-term, collaborative relationships with partners across the entire software development life cycle process (from the top down and bottom up)

  • Prior experience working as a consultant to external customers engagements

  • 2 or more years proven ability to deliver optimal solutions utilizing HP automation tool suites and integration with client functionality

  • 2 or more years of previous experiences implementing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Automation tools and processes from the ground up (ie, with no existing tools or processes in place)

  • Experience Managing people in a matrixed organization both on shore and off.

  • 2 or more years experience with risk mitigation and audits

  • Willingness to travel 50-100% (potentially after the first year or two)

Assets:



  • Previous experiences with Enrollment systems and 834 transactions

  • EDI transaction knowledge

  • Knowledge of Medicare or Medicaid systems

  • Exposure to Health Insurance Exchange solutions

  • Experience with Sorbian Oxley or CMM
