As Release Coordination Project Manager you will be responsible for coordinating the validation, collaboration, distribution, and tracking of all application releases to client-facing groups within the structure of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Runs the Operational Release project, keeping track of progress by the various departments during the lifecycle and collaborating with the Program Managers
- Translate requirements, needs, and intent clearly across disparate technical and non-technical departments
- Responsible for the work flow of all projects
- Interact with customers both internal and external to gather project requirements and act as liaison between customer and design team
- Simultaneously lead several complex projects with varied, multiple deliverables, team members and audiences requiring ongoing prioritization and relationship management
- Communicate job status information to all team members
- Promote smooth workflow and communication between departments
- Create and manage timelines for all projects
- Ensure workflow progresses efficiently and projects/staff are organized as priorities shift
- Maintain job tracking and time keeping database
- Maintain and update project status report and run weekly status meetings
- Help enhance and improve department processes
- Communicate consolidated project milestones and deliverables for readiness
- The ability to generate detailed project status reporting (including critical path impact, dependencies, milestones, resources, cost, work breakdown structures, etc.)
- The ability to work in a matrix environment across cross functional teams
- Workflow design, implementation and management experience
- Document and communicate problem/resolution and information/action plans
- Stay calm during times of crisis
- Contribute to a team environment with a high degree of professionalism and skill
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Experience supporting enterprise-level application release management
- Knowledge of SQL Server and T-SQL querying
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience
- 5+ years of working with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- High level of professionalism
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to work in Seattle office
- Knowledge of Windows-based server operating systems
- Knowledge of Software as a Service application architecture, particularly Optum Enterprise CAC Products
- Advanced Knowledge of Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience supporting enterprise-level applications is preferred
- Familiarity with LEAN and Agile concepts
- Proficiency with MS Project
- Proficiency with MS Visio
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
- Healthcare Industry experience
