About this job


To support the Compounding Allocator, the Compounding Line Lead and Pre-Weigh Owner, the Compounding Manager, the Materials Management Lead and Manager in duties concerning inventory and cycle counting; to ensure all cycle counting is performed in a timely and accurate manner; to properly complete any documentation associated with the handling/transportation of materials in inventory. Other functions include helping with loading/unloading trucks, preweighing for the Compounding Department, participating with plant inventories, and other special assignments.


Essential Job Functions
Cycle count and maintain accurate inventory records within the Compounding Department.

Constantly monitor raw material levels and pull required materials as needed.

Verify material using the Warehouse Management System (SAP).

Ensure materials are in correct home locations.

Ensure raw materials are FEFO'd appropriately.

Aid with the Replen List and replenishment process.

Develop working knowledge of products, raw materials, batching procedures, and bulk.

Detect any defects or problems with products or raw materials.

Adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) guidelines.

Ensure assigned areas are clean and that both pallet jacks and forklifts are in working condition and the correct location.

Communicate issues that need to be escalated to the Compounding Department and Materials Management; make suggestions and recommendations when applicable.

Meet with Compounding Allocator daily to review the prior day's issues and the day's events.

Escalate material shortages to front-line leadership and support functions.

Come to root cause on inventory discrepancies and improving systems to engineer out process issues.

Train new department employees.

Work closely with Pre-Weigh Associates and Processing Techs to continuously improve material flow.

Lead continuous improvement processes and proactively improve contingency plans.

Observe safety and health regulations by maintaining pre-weigh and storage areas in a neat and orderly condition.

Maintain good working relationship with Compounding, Quality Resources and Chemical Receiving and Warehousing departments.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

1. Forklift experience with Crown stand up reach. 2. Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds is required. 3. High school diploma with a minimum two years related industry experience. 4. Good basic math skills and the ability to convert between metric and English measurement systems (lbs → kg → g). 5. Demonstrated ability in analytical reasoning skills is required. 6. Ability to work flexible hours and span across shifts when needed. 7. Demonstrate an attitude that will support team-oriented working relationships. 8. Ability to work through multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time efficiently, and work with minimal supervision is required. 9. Demonstrated abilities of resourcefulness, good judgment, attention to details and a strong work ethic are required. 10. Working knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office skills, etc. and/or SAP experience is preferred, but not required.
