Communications Internship
The Time Warner Cable Internship Program offers students a work experience which will create a bridge between their classroom knowledge and possible career choices. This opportunity will allow you to gain valuable professional experience within an industry leading company.
PURPOSE:
Time Warner Cable has an opening for an intern in its Communications department in New York, NY. The internship provides strong hands-on experience within the industry and includes exposure to corporate brand & reputation, internal communications, strategy and public affairs.
Interested candidates must be talented, self-motivated, organized, professional, detail oriented, personable and team-oriented. Candidates must be proficient with Microsoft Office products and knowledgeable of social media.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Draft and create written communications materials (stories, marketing collateral, presentations, announcements, etc.)Develop messages aligned with key activities, initiativesPrepare content for the company intranetAssist with content creation for social media platformsAssist with special projects as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
A junior or senior majoring in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations or Marketing. Must be currently enrolled in a degreed program in the Spring 2015 semester to be eligible.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher)Strong writing and editing skillsGood verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team
