The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks an Engineering Lab Intern for our System Integration and Test group. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
The Engineering Lab Intern will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of supporting our Video Engineering lab. These responsibilities include but will not be limited to:
1. Support of the lab infrastructure in the ATG-West development and test data center. Duties include:
a. System Administration Tasks
b. Physical installation and removal of equipment
c. Maintenance and configuration of equipment
d. Monitoring and addressing Virtual Cluster Statuses
2. Responding to trouble tickets for lab support group and troubleshooting issues assigned
3. Provide weekly status reports on support tasks
4. Other tasks and duties as assigned, relating to support of our facilities, equipment and products
Job Requirements:
-Administrative experience with the Linux Operating System
-Basic networking and routing experience
-Reasonable coursework in System Administration and/or Networking
-A strong desire to learn and share knowledge
-Sound troubleshooting techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience supporting virtual machine environments is highly desirable
2. Previous system administration experience is highly desirable.
Education and Experience:
Must be currently enrolled in a degreed program in the Spring and Fall 2013 semesters to be eligible.
Our 10 week program begins June 3rd and ends August 9th. This is a full time (40 hour work week) paid internship. Please note we do not provide housing.
