As a national leader in the home infusion field, we seek to hire those special pharmacists who not only possess strong clinical expertise, but the kind of deep compassion and sensitivity it takes to build one-on-one relationships and support patients receiving infusion therapy in the comfort of their home.
As a Pharmacy Resident with Coram, you will learn how to utilize your clinical skills, develop patient relationships and partner with healthcare providers in a growing segment of healthcare, home infusion services. Under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and/or Pharmacy Supervisor you will complete the residency program and company required competencies for a licensed pharmacist.

Key responsibilities:
* Interpret and evaluate prescription orders to assure therapeutic appropriateness, cost effectiveness, and completeness.
* Perform accurate computer order entry, labeling, and dispensing.
* Obtain a final check by the pharmacist in compounding and filling prescriptions. A licensed pharmacist performs compounding checks and double checks per company policies and procedures.
* Select items in processing patient orders and warehouse transfers.
* Compound parenteral solutions aseptically, initiate patient dispensing records, packing slips, and statements.
* Prepare prescription labels with all information required by law.
* Participate in on call rotation as indicated by staffing and business needs.

Required Qualifications:
* State pharmacy intern permit in practicing state upon residency start date and licensure as a registered pharmacist in the state currently practicing as a pharmacy resident.
* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
* Excellent communication skills, including a strong command of the English language and the ability to clearly articulate program details to customers over the telephone.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Hospital or Specialty pharmacy rotations.
* Excellent detail orientation and time management skills. Education:
B.S. or Doctorate of Pharmacy degree is required. Business Overview:
