Construction Field Controls Lead needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Allentown, PA.
The Big Picture - Top Skills You Should Possess:
- Seven (7) years Construction Project Controls experience.
- MS Project and Primavera experience.
- Energy or Chemical industry experience.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Responsible for developing and implementing cost and scheduling systems for the entire project execution cycle, including initial internal and external engineering and design stage, equipment procurement, field construction and facility commissioning and startup. This includes establishment of original schedule baselines, and managing and coordinating engineering, design, procurement and major construction progress against agreed baselines.
- Also will require cost management, schedule analysis, variance management, invoicing, reporting and other schedule control functions throughout the project cycle.
- This FCL position will be located full time in the home office (Allentown PA), but will have the need to travel part time to other offices and field construction sites. Travel on both domestic North America and International basis. Ability to travel on a medium term assignment basis (1-2 months at a time) also a major plus.
What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of major project cost engineering experience with assignments of increasing responsibility, complexity and scope. Experience within Energy / Chemical / EPC industries a major plus.
- Demonstrated technical competency in the field of project controls.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 planning and scheduling tools a must.
- Very good oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrable interpersonal, teambuilding and team leadership skills.
- Self starter, able to work independently without day to day supervision.
- Working knowledge of all relevant engineering & construction codes and standards.
- Experience with SAP and Ecosys EPC tools a major plus.
- Ability to travel for one to two (1-2) months at a time is a plus.
