Facilities Plant Engineer Job - Full-time / Part-time

Facilities Plant Engineer needed for a contract hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Auburn, WA.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Design and assessment of mechanical components associated with material handling and crane Systems per code
- Prepare design criteria documents for construction and installation or modification of overhead material handling systems (cranes, bridges, load bars, Tankline hoods)
- Review design drawings and related documentations submitted by contractors
- Provide engineering support for crane maintenance crews in Auburn and Frederickson sites
- Provide engineering support for Small Work Team on crane projects
- Liaise with project administrator and construction management to monitor contractor's works on crane projects
- Advises and works with business partners, providing support and proposals for existing and new equipment
- Address requests for the procurement and installation of new material handling systems (jib cranes, load bars etc.) from other organizations such as Tooling and Equipment Services
- Prepare PM (preventive maintenance) procedures and job plans for maintaining crane systems
- Support the commissioning and acceptance tests for newly installed crane systems
- Provide suggestions for selecting crane manufacturers, vendors and consultants to Supplier Management
- Prepare scope of works to support cost estimates requirements, asset planning process and specific projects with planning and workflow administration
- Provide design support for small projects (load bars, sensor mounting)
- Revise and update crane drawings as needed
- Liaise with control and electrical engineers on crane design and maintenance issues
- Provide engineering support for emergent downtime of production plant due to failure of crane systems and prepare RCCA reports
- Assists in the selection and procurement of parts and materials related to crane systems modifications
- Prepare procedures for load testing of material handling systems
- Assure codes compliances of crane systems

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Bachelor's Degree
- (5) five or more years' related work experience
