Manager - Product Support needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Everett, WA.

What You'll Be Doing:


Manages overall Field Service Operations at Major OEM Company to ensure employee safety, product quality, customer requirements, manpower allocation, materials/cost, and operational budget are met. Including, maintains a professional working relationship with all departments within Supplier Furnished (SFE) Aerospace Seats employer (domestic and internationally), the OEM Company and Airlines customers.



    - Assures all delivered SFE Aerospace seats flow through The OEM Company system to meet The OEM Aircraft Delivery schedules.
    - Assures compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards at the Everett and Renton Service Center.
    - Manages the replacement order process for defective or OEM damaged components.
    - Maintains visibility of all SFE delivered products to ensure product quality, customer requirements, and cost.
    - Develops and monitors a quality program to minimize repetitive mistakes and rework.
    - Maximizes manpower, equipment and facility utilization.
    - Reviews overhead costs, product quality, and inventory to ensure the customer service center to operating within established budgets.
    - Responsibilities: Manages approximately two other managers and 12 employees in the Field Service and contract labor (as needed) repair and warranty units. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

      - (i) Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
      - (ii) Maintains effective safety program to prevent injuries and lost time.







What You Need to Bring to the Table:



    - Knowledge and skills:



    - Strong knowledge of Commercial Aircraft Seating Products products; involving but not limited to repair systems, operations, methods, procedures, and related FAA requirements.
    - Good Administrative and organizational skills.
    - Effective interpersonal and team building skills a must to be able to work with specific needs and requirements of one major customer, The OEM Company.




    - Education and/or Experience:



    - High School Diploma or equivalent required
    - 5 years of related experience required, of which 2 of those years in the aircraft industry
    - 2 years of prior supervisor/manager experience required



    - Communication Skills:



    - Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
    - Computer Skills: E-mail and word processing.
    - Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.



    - Reasoning Ability:



    - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    - Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
    - Ability to think strategically.



    - Math Ability:


Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    - Will be on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to respond to The OEM Company needs.



    - While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
    - The noise level in the environment is moderate.
    - While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand; walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to lift up to 50 pounds. The vision requirements include: ability to adjust focus, depth perception, peripheral vision, distance vision and close vision.
