Needs experience with INTEGRATION and MODERNIZATION of DCS SYSTEMS

Qualifications / Requirements
-Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a support or maintenance engineering position)
-At least 3 years of experience with system and software design, application, requisition, simulation, or field engineering and configuration, analysis, and modeling related to:
-Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA)
-Ability and willingness to travel 75%
Additional Desired Characteristics
-At least 3 years of experience with programmable logic controllers or equivalent; ladder diagram (LD), functional block diagram (FBD), or sequential function chart (SFC) {all graphical} or structured text (ST) or instruction list (IL) {Textual and Tabular} or SAMA logic as well as preparing control and monitoring narratives, requirements documents, or design specifications
-At least 3 years of experience with: instrument application and datasheets, hard and soft input/output (I/O) lists and databases including set point and control algorithms/functions, interfacing with digital protective relays and adjustable speed drives (ASD) for variable frequency drives (VFD), electrical one line diagrams, and mechanical piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
-At least 3 years of experience with modern digital I&C hardware/software technology platform implementations or modifications of involving; complex, real-time operating systems, intensive instrumentation, data acquisition, control, monitoring, PID loop tuning, etc.
-At least 3 years of experience in large, complex, diverse, industries; manufacturing high speed assembly automation or robotics, pulp & paper, power, process, marine, medical, pharmaceutical, military-aerospace, research and development, or technology demonstration process control, national or university laboratories, etc.
-At least 3 years of experience with data communications and networking; TCP/IP networking and control data communications architectures, Devicenet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Unit Data Highway (UDH), Foundation FieldBus, HART, various serial protocols, etc.
-At least 3 years of experience with structured systems and software development lifecycle methodologies including creation, use and stewardship of company standards, design practices, and guides for object-oriented design architectures, application code libraries, etc.
-Experience in combined cycle power plant analog and digital smart instrumentation application as well as set point and calibration methodologies for measured parameters; temperature, pressure, level, flow, etc.
-Experience in control, monitoring, field, or start-up engineering with detailed working knowledge in nonsafety-related systems, hardware, software, theory of operation,
-Experience in application, development, deployment, and field support engineering of complex, high reliability, harsh environment, real-time operating involving single point failure criterion, dual-triple-quad redundancy and voting schemes, signal acquisition, data processing, inter-networking, separation, human factors, safety hazards, reliability, simulation, cyber security requirements, using modern DCS [e.g.; GE Mark-VIe/ControlST, Allen-Bradley Controllogix, Westinghouse CommonQ, DeltaV, Foxboro I/A, Triconex TRICON, Emerson Ovation, Siemens System7 or Teleperm]
-Experience in systems requirements, design, and specification of non-native or packaged control and monitoring systems; instrument and air operated valves, control valves, condensate demineralizer, off-gas, seismic, industrial TV, HVAC, diesel generator, battery chargers/inverters, UPS, AC and DC electric load groups, digital protective relays, condition monitoring, historian, plant computer functions, etc.
-Experience in configuring Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and control software [e.g.; CIMPLICITY, Wonderware, RsView]
-Experience using SmartPlant P&ID (SPP&ID) and Instrumentation (SPI)
-Experience performing independent, or preferably team based, system design or technical reviews including interfacing with Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) and systems and software quality assurance (SQA) organizations
-Clear thinker, detail oriented, insightful, quantitative, results oriented analyst and engineer Excellent technical writing in general with focus on requirements and design documents
-Strong verbal communication skills and customer focused mindset
-Strong facilitation and presentation skills for technical and business audiences
-Self-starter with energy, positive Can-Do attitude - Proven track record of producing quality deliverables on specification, to project budget, at product cost, and on schedule
-Continuous improvement mindset with an ability to identify, influence, and implement better ways to do an activity or process
