As a Utility Prep team member you will be a key person in ensuring our kitchen and prepared foods departments have clean dishes and supplies needed to make our great tasting prepared foods and other items. • Providing incredible service to Prepared Foods departments by ensuring dishes, containers, utensils and other supplies are properly cleaned and sanitized on a timely basis
• Setting up and operating dishwasher equipment; filling and emptying dishwasher throughout the day to maintain a constant flow of clean dishware and supplies to departments
• Manually washing dishes before loading into the dishwasher to ensure the cleanest wash possible
• Maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the kitchen and dishwashing area to ensure work gets completed in the most efficient and safe way possible
• Keeping department floors clear of debris and ensuring garbage and recyclables are disposed of throughout the day
• Assisting departments by putting dish loads away and performing other kitchen duties as necessary, including some food prep work
• Properly handling all products and equipment in accordance with food safety and safety guidelines

• Properly handle, prepare, transport and store products; ensuring food and human safety practices are strictly adhered to

• Utilize resources to educate self and others about product uses and characteristics, being sure to share acquired product knowledge
• Has knowledge of products used throughout the store and works across departments to provide knowledge based service to assist customers in finding complete meal solutions
• Possess culinary knife skills which includes safely handling knives

What will set me apart from other candidates:

• Customer service experience in a food service, grocery, restaurant or retail setting
• Dish washing experience

Work environment:

• Work involves continuous interaction with co-workers in a fast-paced environment
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, pivoting and trunk twisting
• Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 1 – 10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 25 pounds occasionally
• May be exposed to various allergens as well as wet and humid conditions
• Work performed near hot equipment
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours

• Days/Hours requirements: part-time employees may work up to 30 hours/week, with shifts ranging between 4 and 8 hours at a time based on departments needs. Weekly hours and specific shifts are not guaranteed and we do not offer set schedules. The most successful applicants offer an availability spanning several hours at a time, on multiple days/week. Specific days/hours of work vary by position/department and will generally include weekends.
