The Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Office of the General Counsel, is seeking an Administrative Assistant II for their Hotels & Restaurant unit.

The Department is responsible for the licensing and regulation of more than 1 million businesses and professionals including Architects, Athlete Agents, Auctioneers, Building Officials, Certified Public Accountants, Cosmetologists, Electrical Contractors and Veterinarians. The Department also regulates industries such as hotels and restaurants, slot machine gaming, gambling, real estate, and the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco.

The Administrative Assistant II position is responsible for maintaining the attorney's calendar, scheduling appointments, meetings and conference calls, maintaining all case files and records of official correspondence, updating the case status in the electronic case management system, arranging travel reservations, rental cars and lodging, preparing and processing travel reimbursement claims for supervising attorney, preparing monthly reports, scheduling depositions and hearings, drafting general correspondence, and other legal administrative duties.

Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
