Currently, Sodexo is seeking an experienced Food Operations Manager to oversee Resident Dining and Catering operations which encompasses 2 Food Service Managers overseeing $7.6M annual volume in Resident dining averaging 3200 meals a day and a Catering Manager responsible for $2.8M annual volume catering services in the new Hemmingson Center and conference center and summer conferences.

The successful individual must have a strong background in excellent operational performance, leading a team to greatness as well as a strong client communication and relationship skills. A catering and concessions background is a must and a strong understanding of retail operations, marketing as well as driving business through sales.

Resident Dining management experience is a necessity with an understanding of catering operations. We are looking for a positive team player to be part of our overall campus team and are seeking an Innovative, strategic business leader to develop a team and create an excellent guest experience which will further our reputation as a leader in the northwest. We are currently undergoing change and this new position will allow an individual to create a dynamic business through excellent results.

Position Summary

Assumes General Manager's (GM) responsibilities and authority in his/her absence in complex multi-functional accounts. Has direct client contact on day-to-day issues. Develops and Implements plans under the direction of a GM 5 or higher. Manages through managers. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Responsible for financial/HR functions. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
